TEF

TEF preparation

Match the TEF version to your goal, then prepare only the modules and target scores you need.

Preparing your version…

Key outcomes

Use these as observable targets, not as a checklist to memorize.

  1. 01

Choose the correct TEF version for study, Canada, Québec or French residency/citizenship

  2. 02

Depending on the version, one to five modules assess reading, listening, vocabulary/syntax, writing and speaking

  3. 03

Scores are reported by skill on a 0–699 scale with a CEFR level; certificates are valid for two years

A practical plan

Turn the target into repeatable work you can actually schedule.

  1. 1

Start with the official version guide; do not prepare modules you do not need

  2. 2

For MCQ modules, keep an error log by question type rather than only total score

  3. 3

For written and oral modules, record timed responses and grade communication, organization, vocabulary and accuracy

Readiness checkpoint

You know the exact TEF version, target score and required modules, and your last three timed samples meet that target by skill.
